Finally, then, here is the finished picture, although the exact moment at which to decide your work is over is kind of a problem too. I think Piccasso said somewhere that "paintings aren't finished, they are abandoned". There's truth in that. I can't imagine coming to a point where it was impossible to imagine any improvement whatsoever to any particular work. But life is short. You have to stop somewhere.
If you can achieve 90% of your aims in less than 500% of the time you thought it might take, you're doing pretty well.
