Applications To Don Thomas's View Of H20

Thomas's interpretation of the situation in H20 is online here

We can follow the implications by using the applet. First a screenshot showing the VPSS car situated as per Thomas . The green bar across Houston in the map shows where the rear end of the car is taken to be , 199 feet from Hughes . This involves moving Hughes ( red slider) almost to the absolute limit, almost as far north as the program will allow :

Now we can move the measurement cursor (blue slider ) and see where this puts the Presidential SS follow-up car . (See the green bar across the map , below.) The car is driving at right angles straight into the kerb at the junction with Elm , 232 feet from Hughes :

We now move on to the shadow of the TSBD. Settting the cursor as below, in the very visible area of shadow in the photo, we find that the TSBD shadow is south of the tsbd, 316 feet from Hughes. This is decidedly odd, considering that Dallas is in the northern hemishere :

Thus the effect of Thomas's insisting on placing the VPSS car so far south is to force everything else south in proportion, so much so that we find at least these two absurdities. The VPSS car cannot be this far south.
