..still puts the VPSS car well inside Zapruder's field of view.
First a screenshot showing the TSBD shadow, in the photo, aligned on the cursor . Hughes's position is then corrected until the green bar on the lower map (correctly) falls within that shadow., 395 feet from Hughes. :
Now we can move the measurement cursor (blue slider ) and see where this puts the Presidential SS follow-up car . (See the green bar across the map , below.) The car is now at right angles to the line of the street, in the middle of Elm, 276 feet from the camera, where it should be :
Having ensured that this setting for Hughes satisfies our two main visible constraints, we can now move on to the LBJSS car. Settting the cursor as below, where the back end of that car meets the road surface, we find that it is actually located as per the green bar on the map below, 239 feet from the camera, well into Zapruder's field of view, corresponding to a time somewhat later than Z 133 :
It is hard to see how the VPSS car can be pulled back very much further south than this, without putting either the TSBD shadow or the presidential limo in impossible locations.
